Donor Advised Funds
Donors may make contributions to an organization but not initially specify how the money is to be spent with the intention of the funds being held in a Donor Advised Fund. Over time, the donor allocates money from the Donor Advised Fund to the organization’s other funds or to special projects. Donor Advised Funds provide a high degree of flexibility for a major donor to drive giving in a tax efficient manner while also creating a model for an organization to disburse funds based on manageable project milestones.
The Aptify solution contains full support for creating and managing Donor Advised Funds. The lifecycle of functionality required to manage a Donor Advised Fund, including the financial integration, is built directly into the Aptify Fundraising solution. Over time, as funds are allocated from a Donor Advised Fund to other funds, or to special projects, the financial integration is automated as well.
