International Capabilities

Aptify provides a rich feature set out-of-the-box that enables an organization to manage worldwide operations in a seamless manner, while at the same time respecting the unique characteristics of local cultures and business practices. Aptify's international functionality spans several key categories, including multiple language, multiple currency, international address formatting and sales/use/value-added tax support. In each instance of the feature set, Aptify has designed the product to not only support companies operating in various regions of the world, but also to support organizations that are operating in many regions of the world simultaneously. The latter scenario proves far more challenging organizationally and in most software applications.

Multi-Language Support

Aptify's software is built to enable any number of languages to be used simultaneously within a given software installation based on the needs of each individual user.

• Unlimited number of languages can be in place for a single installation of the product
• Flexible meta-data definition of words and phrases to enable easy translation into any language
• Each user may have their preferred language selected while on the same software installation/image as all other users. For example, Spanish-speaking users could run the exact same software installation/image on their computers as English-speaking users in parallel.
• Culture-specific spelling, word and phrase variations are supported. For example, within English, American English and UK English spell many words differently, Aptify can support a single language having a common base, but varying only in those areas where there needs to be branching.

Multi-Currency Support

Aptify has deep expertise in multi-currency transaction management. Aptify multi-currency support is not new, we have refined it for nearly a decade. The following list highlights some of the key capabilities in this area:

• Unlimited number of currencies for each entity
• Each entity/business unit can operate in any number of currencies
• Different entities/business units can have distinct functional currencies
• Automate spot-rate conversions using Aptify and web services to connect with financial services of your choice
• Dynamic and set-rate pricing in any number of currencies for each product
• Ability to order in one currency and make payment against the same order in any number of other currencies
• Integrated accounting to ensure controls and seamless flow of information to the GL package

Sales/Use/Value-Added Tax Support

Aptify has a very flexible tax management architecture in order to support a wide variety of taxation schemes in different jurisdictions. Some of the capabilities include:

• Unlimited number of tax jurisdictions, rates and applicable rules
• Products/Services can qualify, conditionally for taxation for each rate/jurisdiction based on distinct rules
• Tax-inclusive pricing supported
• VAT functionality to factor in 3+ input criteria to determine tax authority, rate and applicability.
• Support for "tax-on-tax", for example Canadian QST
• Variable tax rates based on product or service type
• Integrated accounting to ensure controls and seamless flow of information to the GL package

International Address Support

Mailing addresses around the world vary greatly in format. Aptify's standard functionality recognizes published standards from worldwide postal authorities to ensure preview and printing of addresses system-wide comply with each country's requirements.
